That's It, I will not Longer Believe It Is Bad For ME!

So you read the news and see numerous articles of that really happens when a person drinks Coffee. I know that I grow irritated to see and read facts thrown here and there about what really is going on in my cup. So I turn to my trusty website Huffington Post , and begin to research what the Mystery is and if I should continue to feel guilt with every sip, although it does give a bit more spice to drink the guilt.
And even more now during this season with the images on Instagram of selfies with Fall Leaves and Coffee is so popular, it's inevitable to try and figure out this case. I skimmed the articles found one with interesting health facts that I am trusting to say it is all legit. I read an article titled

Whether Decaf Or Regular, Coffee Seems To Be Good For Your Liver and I was convinced... Case Closed. With the beginning headline stating, "People in the study who drank large quantities of coffee on a daily basis had lower levels of abnormal liver enzymes, the researchers found. This suggests that a chemical in coffee other than caffeine may help the liver, the researchers said." Which means to me that Yes I will continue to drink this delicious beverage and sip it with no guilt whatsoever. Coffee, according to the article, is showing studies of people having lower risks of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and liver cancer. Enough to convince you?

From this article it states:
"The researchers looked at about 27,800 people age 20 or older who reported how much coffee they had consumed over the past 24 hours. The team also looked at their blood samples for several markers of liver health, including alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and gamma-glutamyl transaminase (GGT). Elevated levels of liver enzymes may be a sign of liver damage or inflammation."
"The results showed that people who said they drank three or more cups of coffee a day had lower levels of all four of these enzymes, compared with people who did not drink any coffee. Surprisingly, it didn't matter whether a person drank regular or decaf coffee: the effect on liver enzyme levels was almost identical."

Cancer Awareness

As you all know, the awareness for breast cancer was last month and many women took pledges to see a doctor and even run those hefty miles for fundraising. The pink was everywhere and everyone was excited and thrilled to stand together and fight for the disease that sweeps the nation.
Every woman has their story of how they fought it, are fighting it and even stories from loved ones who lost the battle. It's a scary thing to keep in mind that something is wrong inside and is slowly killing you cell by cell. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death and we are striving to find a cure and end this battle once and for all. I have heard numerous stories about women's struggles and we all see it on social media with celebrities undergoing the same struggles. So I wrote an article for GLAM about my family members struggle and her brave decision behind the doors. She is a beautiful and strong women, for she exercises her body to perfection and is a loving mother and wife.
But Cancer still lurks without any warning, she was diagnosed with a lethal disease but quickly took action as a woman and fought back. I wrote this article in Spanish for my Latin Community and in hopes of raising an awareness for all the beautiful sexy Latina women.

I Drink My Coffee Different Than You Honey

Coffee Day was days ago, but I came across this article which gave a great depiction of what it means to be male or female and handle a coffee mug.
I think of other things in which men and women do things differently and it is true considering the fact that some have more patience than others or want things sweeter than ever.
But considering the gender differences, just how different does a man drink from a womans perspective? Besides handling more alcohol.

1. Young People spend more money on Coffee than Older Folks. Yup all that Instagramming and Twittering.

2. Guys Drink more cups than women do...not in my situation.

3. Women are more Patient than Men to wait in line...I think thats a general fact, right honey ;)

4. Women like it Fancy...Don't we all Ladies. We feel Sophisticated with a "Latte" or a "Capppuuuccciiinnnooo".

5. Since I am on the West Coast, I am presumed to like it Fancy and that I am "Oh-So Rich" and will spend More.
I object! I am a Barnes & Noble Employee and may I say I take advantage of my Discounts proudly!

Thanks PayPal for the survey and making me feel rich for being on the West Coast.....which I will say it is Imaginative.

"Work culture turning coffee into a fashion statement"-- Gulf News

Have you seen lately the fashion statements Coffee is now beginning to part take in Social Medias like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter and among those like Tumblr and so forth.
Well as it is being represented, Coffee is becoming a worldwide Fashion Statement with clothing, seasons, accessories, and now in the work culture.
According to GulfNews.com theres a link indicated by medical professionals that addiction is associated with an "unbalanced food diet". Interesting in my case because I sometimes substitute a meal with coffee...guilty.
Similar to the so-called fashion statement, work environments are also taking on the new accessory to carry a mug around to deliver the message of being a hard working employee and are easily peer pressured.

More about the unbalanced diet goes into detail as follows:
“People who have a balanced diet and eat healthy would be getting all the nutrients their body needs. For these people, drinking coffee would be more of a choice than a necessity.”
“Depending on the body type, it takes around 3 weeks to a month to develop a strong craving or addition to coffee or tea, and just like any other drug, a person will experience withdrawal symptoms such as headaches if they decide to stop — even if it’s for one or two days.”
Once the body gets used to high caffeine levels, the effects of coffee, which can include increased attention and memory performance, are no longer experienced. In such a case, a person is in need of even higher doses of coffee or tea to achieve the same effect.
Coffee is not considered harmful however, if consumed in moderation. Along with caffeine, coffee beans also contain antioxidants and nutrients beneficial for the body. The addition of additives, sugar, and milk, however, takes away from its benefits, said Dr Shershad.

Good morning my fellow Coffee Friends, hope you all arrive to work on time as I should be getting ready myself. Coffee actually can depict your Personality?

So as I'm flowing throughout Pinterest, I notice a somewhat of a diagram that depicts the different personalities coffee portrays on the drinker. Interesting?? I just assumed that apart from the love and admiration, the constant consumption and given fact of possible addiction, that coffee couldn't actually tell you who the person is. But as social media likes to analyze the users intake and comments on common objectives its no wonder coffee can tell you the personality of the person sitting next you.
Take a glance of what could possibly be your personality as I'm sure you will be amused as I was and then I realize how obsessed I am at the mere image of coffee.

The Psychology of Coffee / La Psicología del Café

I have Bachelors in Psychology and I have learned many of the effects caffeine takes on the body. I know many people are interested in reading the effects and interesting facts in terms of coffee. Apart from the sugar intakes and the different likes many have on the beverage, but also there is the grand benefit caffeine has on our brain.
The hormone that is usually associated as the “feel good” sensation is the famous dopamine that actually is quite similar to cocaine and ecstasy. Coffee is the most widely consumed psychoactive and psychologists are asking the question, “Does this mean we crave the excitement?”
The French novelist once said in his book “Honore de Balzac”: “"This coffee plunges into the stomach...the mind is aroused, and ideas pour forth like the battalions of the Grand Army on the field of battle.... Memories charge at full gallop...the light cavalry of comparisons deploys itself magnificently; the artillery of logic hurry in with their train of ammunition; flashes of wit pop up like sharp-shooters."

Basically this is a good explanation for Addiction, this cup we consume almost everyday is something that makes us feel good because it touches our sensations in our brain. But be careful, because it can lead similarly to the same sensations as cocaine or marijuana even. So drink responsibly my friends.

The Truth about Coffee/La Verdad sobre Café!!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/07/coffee-infographic_n_5628172.html?utm_hp_ref=tw
http://www.thebolditalic.com/articles/5415-infographic-the-truth-about-coffee

Hola amigos!

Hello friends! How’s your day? It is almost time to get a cup of coffee to wake up and continues to work. For me Yes!
Well, there’s something I found that I think it would be something to laugh at.  When you go to Starbucks or any Cafe, you don't usually think:
the time it takes to go in the car,
arrive with traffic,
search to park,
either pay the meter or not,
look at the time,
thinking about that order,
think what has so much sugar and if you deserve it,
wait in line,
order,
wait... again,
finally have the drink,
and time to rush back to work.
I found an Infographic in the huffingtonpost.com page and is well funny in the description in as one does to the coffee and taking it at the same time.In reality, coffee is important for those who are dedicated to working long hours and are kept busy.

Chemical Dependency

"The coffee addiction is not an understatement. Americans crave their daily fix and drink an estimated 400 million cups a day. But, coffee is so much more than just a drink. As one of the most actively traded commodities, coffee is now a multibillion-dollar global industry. What is it about coffee that keeps us coming back for more? Is it truly the caffeine or is it something else…the aroma, the taste, the sense of gathering a cup of coffee brings."
http://www.cnbc.com/id/43393500
"Caffeine is a stimulant to the central nervous system, and regular use of caffeine does cause mild physical dependence. But caffeine doesn't threaten your physical, social, or economic health the way addictive drugs do. (Although after seeing your monthly spending at the coffee shop, you might disagree!)
Your body quickly absorbs caffeine. But it also gets rid of it quickly. Processed mainly through the liver, caffeine has a relatively short half-life. This means it takes about five to seven hours, on average, to eliminate half of it from your body. After eight to 10 hours, 75% of the caffeine is gone. For most people, a cup of coffee or two in the morning won't interfere with sleep at night.
Caffeine has few proven health benefits. But the list of caffeine's potential benefits is interesting. Any regular coffee drinker may tell you that caffeine improves alertness, concentration, energy, clear-headedness, and feelings of sociability. You might even be the type who needs that first cup o' Joe each morning before you say a single word. Scientific studies support these subjective findings. One French study even showed a slower decline in cognitive ability among women who consumed caffeine.
Other possible benefits include helping certain types of headache pain. Some people's asthma also appears to benefit from caffeine. These research findings are intriguing, but still need to be proven."
http://www.webmd.com/balance/caffeine-myths-and-facts?page=3
So as seen above, caffeine has some benefits and of course some damages that may by harmful or not, my suggestion as a coffee consumer and lover is that like anything else in this world, there must be a balance between the obsessed and the passion. My blogs are to simply tell a story of my experiences with each cup, not to imply that sooner or later I will get an ulcer from too much consumption. My love for coffee is similar to an athlete on the field, I consume with precaution and balance with learning experiences on the way.
